Charge your glasses for a refreshing golden amber Pale Ale created by elbow and brewed by Marston’s at the spiritual home of British brewing, Burton upon Trent.
Developed whilst the band created their sixth studio album ‘The Take Off and Landing of Everything’, Marston’s brewmaster Genevieve Upton describes the beer as “a classic, easy drinking Pale Ale with a blend of three malts that deliver a luscious malt biscuit flavour, whilst a nod to American steam beers, sees the beer fermented at a higher temperature than the norm to release a fruitier aroma and sweeter finish”.
Guy Garvey adds “With the help of the good people at Marston’s we’ve created a craft beer with a spicy American feel that still retains the class of a traditional British real ale. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the album.”
The name ‘Charge’ is taken from one of the tracks on the album, which is released on 10th March 2014.
The beer will be available as a seasonal cask in select pubs and in bottle from supermarkets nationwide, check here for more details.
